The William Morris Agency has announced a surprise end-of-the-year overhaul of its top management, the Hollywood Reporter reported Monday.

Dave Wirtschafter, previously head of the agency's motion picture division, has been tapped as the next president, and three veteran board members have resigned: worldwide TV head Sam Haskell, Chief Operating Officer Steve Kram, and Executive VP Richard Rosenberg, who oversaw the music and personal appearances departments.

Wirtschafter's promotion is the latest in a series of management changes implemented at WMA since 1999.
