Actress Kate Reinders, who plays Glinda in the Chicago production of "Wicked," broke a bone in her foot during the song "Popular."

A publicist for the musical said Reinders will be out of the show for a few weeks, but it is not expected to be a prolonged period, Playbill reported Friday.

There is a long history of "Wicked" injuries, Playbill noted.

Kristin Chenoweth, who originated the role of Glinda, hurt her neck during the show's out-of-town tryout in San Francisco and wore a neck brace for part of her Broadway run, Playbill said.

Tony Award winner Idina Menzel, who created the role of Elphaba, broke a rib during her last weekend on Broadway. And Stephanie J. Block -- who plays Elphaba in the musical's national tour -- hurt her back and neck during the tour's rehearsal period, causing her to miss several performances.
