The fountain went green for the third consecutive year to mark the feast of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, and the coinciding U.S. visit of the Irish leader, WOFL-TV, Washington, reported Thursday.
WIAT-TV, Birmingham, Ala., posted video of a worker plunging into the fountain during the dying process.
CNN reported Kenny began the day with a breakfast in his honor at Vice President Joe Biden's residence. He is scheduled to attend a St. Patrick's Day reception at the White House in the evening.
