Vanessa Lachey and Maksim Chmerkovskiy's Dancing with the Stars feud is water under the bridge at this point, according to the partners.

"It's a pebble in the pond," Vanessa, a 36-year-old TV personality, told Us Weekly of previous tension with her professional partner on Season 25.

"Everything is great," she added. "And honestly I kind of giggle at it!"

Earlier this season, Maksim, 37, was absent from a performance show. While co-host Erin Andrews revealed a "personal issue" was keeping him from the ballroom that night, numerous reports circulated there was tension between partners and they were "miserable" working together behind the scenes.

Maksim, however, also downplayed drama with Vanessa, telling Us this past weekend that "things were never bad" between them.

"What drama?... [Things] were great. It's been a great season. It's a tough show," Maksim said.

"Everybody's going through a little bit of a menial lifetime through this whole process, and when you're good enough to make it all the way, you go through that stuff much more. We're a great couple. We're doing our best. She's giving me all the time that she should and I can't wait for this Monday to show what we've been working on."

Earlier this month, Maksim took "full responsibility" for missing Vanessa's "guilty pleasure" dance amid reports of a feud.

And after taking the stage for Vanessa's "most memorable year" performance -- which was an emotional rumba inspired by the initial scare of emergency surgery but ultimate joy of welcoming her third child with husband Nick Lachey prematurely in December 2016 -- Maksim penned a sweet message to her on Instagram the next day.

"Everything I ever want for my partners is literally what @vanessalachey has brought to the dance floor last night. Raw, unapologetic, real emotion expressed through a beautiful dance," Maksim wrote alongside a series of photos of the couple performing on Dancing with the Stars.

"Yesterday also marked the first time when I completely lost it right before the dance... I rarely cry but this was something different, something I've yet to experience watching someone else's story."

Dancing with the Stars' next broadcast on Monday, October 23 will feature the remaining celebrity and professional pairings dancing to "A Night at the Movies." Last week for "Disney Night," Vanessa and Maksim finished in a tie for eighth place on the judges' leaderboard.
