Vanessa Grimaldi and her ex-fiance Nick Viall have managed to stay friends following their August split, unlike some other The Bachelor couples before them.

Three months after her devastating breakup with The Bachelor's Season 21 star, Vanessa told Us Weekly of Nick, "We are on good terms, so we're very supportive of each other."

In fact, Vanessa -- a former special education teacher from Montreal, Canada -- admitted she has been "loving life" as of recently.

"I've been between Montreal and Los Angeles," said Vanessa, who spent most of her time in L.A. when she was dating Nick and he was competing on Dancing with the Stars.

"I have my foundation No Better You and we're helping out poor schools in Montreal and we're going to open more sensory rooms and have a fundraiser in the summer. I'm heading down to do the ribbon cutting ceremony at one of the sensory rooms, one of the schools, so I'm really excited about that."

Vanessa, 30, acknowledged it "feels like it's really been a big accomplishment for the team."

Vanessa has certainly been busy, but she's rumored to be dating Montreal Canadiens hockey player Brendan Gallagher in the meantime.

Just last month, Vanessa's representative told the magazine that the pair had been "talking and hanging out" and "they're cute" together.

However, Vanessa revealed she is currently single, and perfectly happy being so.

"I think it's important, you know, after you get out of a serious relationship, to just take time for yourself and feel comfortable in your own space alone," she explained to Us on Friday. "I'm really enjoying that time to myself right now."

Vanessa and Nick, 37, got engaged on The Bachelor finale that aired in March 2017, but they decided to call off their engagement and go their separate ways about five months later.

"I fell for him hard, and when you fall in love that hard, your heart breaks even harder," Vanessa told People of the split in early September.

"In the end, as much as we loved each other and tried to make it work, we just realized we were different people fighting to keep a relationship when ultimately we just weren't the best fit for each other... When you fall in love with someone with all that you have, it's hard to let go. Every part of you gets shattered.

As for whether Vanessa will be looking for love on any dating apps in the near future, she told Us on Friday, "I've never done any apps. I mean I did The Bachelor, which is the biggest app in the world!"
