Alumni at Towson University in Maryland have donated a new mascot to the school -- designed to be vandalism-proof.

The Towson Tiger is made from indestructible bronze, the Baltimore Sun reports. All four paws are on the ground and the tail is wrapped around a leg.
"It's an amazing tribute to the university that will obviously last for many, many years," Student Government Association President Patrick Dominguez said at a ceremony Thursday unveiling the tiger. "Much longer than our old tiger."
Towson's previous tiger was made from fiberglass and had one leg raised. That leg and the tail suffered many breaks over the years.
After the toothless tiger was attacked twice during spring break last April, school officials had it removed. In addition to the breaks, the sculpture was plastered with obscene graffiti.
Lori Armstrong, vice president of alumni affairs, said the tiger's seller promised it will "last forever."
