Two people were arrested in a series of apparently random attacks recorded and posted to YouTube, police in Minnesota said Wednesday.

St. Paul police said they received calls and e-mails Tuesday about a YouTube video depicting young men randomly attacking passersby in various locations, including some in St. Paul, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.

In one incident, a bicyclist was toppled, while in another a pedestrian was knocked down and in a third a child carrying a backpack is chased and pushed.

"I would imagine that anyone who sees it would be incredibly troubled by it," St. Paul City Council Member Melvin Carter III said of the video. "It was awful."

Police said they believe the assaults occurred during the weekend. A spokesman said he believed one suspect was an adult and the other a juvenile.
