A Lockport, Ill., man's flourescent green house has some of his neighbors seeing red -- but there's nothing they can do about it.

It all started last summer when neighbors called police to complain about Juan Mata's semi-truck, which he kept parked in his driveway. Police agreed it was an eyesore and made him move it into storage, the Daily Southtown reported Friday.
But Mata really loved his truck -- so much he keeps a picture of it in his wallet. So he decided he was not going to take the snub lying down.
"Well, I thought if they said, 'The truck's an eyesore,' I'd give them a real eyesore," Mata said.
He got even by painting his house a brilliant shade of neon green. The paint is actually an interior paint, he said.
One neighbor told the Southtown the house was "hideous." Another said it was so bright, it could be a signal for planes flying overhead.
The house does have its benefits, however. The newspaper said it slows traffic and is a good landmark for giving directions.
