A delivery truck went on a wild, careening trip down a busy Boston street Thursday, hitting eight other vehicles before bursting into flames, police say.

Three minor injuries were reported, one of them to the truck driver. The crashes closed Commonwealth Avenue and at least one other street for a time, and temporarily suspended Green Line trolley service, The Boston Globe said.
There was no immediate word as to what caused the truck to run amok, police said. It was owned by the New England Delivery Service, a Wilmington, Del.-based company.
