The Washington State Patrol said a shovel-wielding trooper spent 10 minutes clearing a pile of bloody fish heads from an interstate.
Officials said Trooper Jamie Arnold responded to a report of a lost load slowing traffic on northbound Interstate 5 at about 6 p.m. Tuesday and he discovered the fish heads spread through multiple traffic lanes, KOMO-TV, Seattle, reported Wednesday.
Arnold spent about 10 minutes clearing the fish heads from the roadway with a shovel.
State Patrol spokeswoman Julie Startup said investigators have not yet determined the origin of the fish heads.
