"How to Train Your Dragon" returned to No. 1 at the U.S. box office this weekend, easily topping a pair of new releases.

DreamWorks' 3-D animated feature collected an estimated $15 million in its fifth weekend, moving up from No. 2 last week and running its total to $178 million, Box Office Mojo reported.
The Jennifer Lopez romantic comedy, "The Back-Up Plan," opened at No. 2 with $12.2 million. In its third weekend, "Date Night" -- starring Tina Fey and Steve Carrell -- was third with $10.6 million.
The weekend's other new release, "The Losers," was No. 4 with $9.6 million and "Kick-Ass" was fifth with $9.5 million.
"Clash of the Titans" was sixth with $9 million, followed by "Death at a Funeral ($8 million); "Oceans" ($6 million); "The Last Song" ($3.7 million); and "Alice in Wonderland" ($2.2 million) -- which has grossed $327.5 million in eight weeks.
