Police say that someone saw David Alan Stark crawling under an SUV Thursday afternoon outside the Vail Gymnastics Center, the Summit Daily News reported Friday. After officers found the black box attached to the vehicle's underside, they evacuated the center and a nearby elementary school and rerouted buses around the area.
The witness also got Stark's license plate number. Police tracked him down and ordered him to return to Vail to remove the device. When he showed up, he was arrested.
Stark owns Aspen Country Process Services in Glenwood Springs. He was working for one of the parties in a divorce case.
