A German doctor enjoying a fishing vacation in Norway snagged a monster from the depths, a halibut weighing more than 300 pounds.

The fish was so big that Dr. Andy Borsch spent four hours maneuvering it into his boat, Norwegian Broadcasting Corp. reported. Then Laila and Helge Slemmen, who own the trailer and cabin park on the Langfjord where Borsch was staying, used a tractor to get the halibut to the scales.
Borsch has been visiting Norway for fishing holidays for 27 years. But this halibut was his biggest catch and a record for the Langfjord, a branch of Romsdalsfjord in southwest Norway.
The fish was about 500 feet below the surface when it took the hook. It weighed in at 138 kilograms or 303 pounds.
