Tony Danza got a shock during a live cooking segment of "The Tony Danza Show" when he learned he soon would be a grandfather.

Danza and his son, Marc Iadanza, were doing a Super Bowl cooking segment on TV when Marc proposed a toast before breaking the news: he and wife, Julie, are having a baby, the New York Post said.

A visibly emotional Danza took a step back as his studio audience broke into wild applause.

Julie then phoned into the show from Los Angeles. She was joined by Danza's wife, Tracy, and his daughter, Emily. "We're all crying," Julie said.

"I think I'm gonna cry, too," Danza said. "Congratulations. Let's just get drunk. I'm gonna be a great grandpa, though."
