Tom Petty joins Fox's 'King of the Hill' animated TV series

Veteran rocker Tom Petty lending his voice to Fox TV's "King of the Hill" this season, it was reported Monday.

Petty will provide the voice of Lucky, Luanne's new boyfriend, in the 10th season of the animated series, TVguide.com reported.

Also slated to voice characters this season are Johnny Knoxvillle, Outkast singer Big Boi, John Schneider and Shannon Elizabeth.

"King of the Hill" is slated to air its season premiere on Sept. 18.
