Life & Style magazine sent out news releases Tuesday saying its Feb. 27 cover story, which hits stands Friday, will have "exclusive details" about the end of the relationship, E! Online reported.
Quoting unnamed friends of the couple, Life & Style says the couple "plan to keep up the charade of a romance" until after the spring birth of their child.
Within an hour of the Life & Style news release, reps for both Cruise and Holmes were issuing denials, E! Online said.
"It should be known that the story is 100 percent false," publicist Arnold Robinson said in a statement. "Mr. Cruise and Ms. Holmes are still engaged and are moving forward with their wedding plans, as well as planning for the arrival of their child.
"Despite the malicious fallacies put forth by Life & Style magazine, the couple is looking forward to a long and happy life together as a family," Robinson wrote.
Life & Style responded by saying it stands "100 percent" behind its story.
