Additional fifth-season episodes will include the family celebrating the sextuplets fifth birthday and attempting to house train new puppies.
TLC had announced Jon & Kate Plus 8's fifth-season renewal as part of a 2009-2010 season programming announcement earlier this month. The announcement came after the reality show's future had coming into question when the show's fourth-season finale in March featured Jon openly speculating whether or not he wanted to continue with the show for future seasons.
Jon's comments followed an alleged February incident in which he was seen partying with college girls at a Huntington, PA, bar that is located three hours away from the new $1.3 million home he and his family recently bought.
While at the bar, Jon reportedly met some girls from Juniata College -- who subsequently invited him to a house party where he played beer pong.
Jon later denied that his marriage was on the rocks and subsequently denied he has ever cheated on Kate.
