The Voice eliminated eight artists and determined the competition's Top 12 finalists during Wednesday night's live eighth-season results show on NBC.

Going forward, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, and Pharrell Williams will each have three artists on his or her team.
The 12 artists who advanced were Brian Johnson, DeAnna Johnson, Joshua Davis, Hannah Kirby, Meghan Linsey, Corey Kent White, India Carney, Kimberly Nichole, Rob Taylor, Sawyer Fredericks, Koryn Hawthorne, and Mia Z.
The following contestants got eliminated: Adam's team members Tonya Boyd-Cannon and Nathan Hermida, "Team Christina" members Sonic and Lexi Davila, Blake's team members Sarah Potenza and Brooke Adee, and "Team Pharrell" members Caitlin Caporale and Lowell Oakley.
Beginning on Monday, April 13, these contestants will be performing live each week, and at the end of each Tuesday night episode, at least two performers will be eliminated until there is only one champion.
Like in previous seasons, each live results show will feature the "Instant Save." The artists with the lowest number of votes will each perform a new song that best represents why they deserve to be saved in the competition.
America will then have the opportunity to save their favorite performer by tweeting out #VoiceSave along with the artist's name. The singers to receive the lowest number of votes via tweeting will be sent home each week.
