'The Voice' eliminee Delvin Choice: Kat Perkins deserved the save more than me or anybody else

The Voice eliminee Delvin Choice admits America saved the right person when viewers tweeted to keep his competitor -- and teammate -- Kat Perkins in the competition.
"If you don't know who I vote for, you should by now. Kat is my teammate, the epitome of a friend, and she deserves this more than anybody. She possesses everything it takes to be a star," Choice told the Today show.
Choice and Perkins, who both represented coach Adam Levine's team, were voted into America's bottom four following Monday night's Top 8 performance show alongside Blake Shelton's team members Sisaundra Lewis and Audra McLaughlin.
America could only save one of the four artists during Tuesday night's live results show via The Voice's "Instant Save" format, and home viewers opted for Perkins to become a part of the sixth season's Top 5. Choice, Lewis and McLaughlin were all cut in the process.
Levine made it more than obvious he wanted Perkins to be saved last night.
"I want you guys to vote for [Kat] because she represents [something special in rock n' roll]," Levine urged fans after Perkins sang "Barracuda" for survival. "And this girl carries the torch and then some. She deserves to be here!"
In a last-ditch effort -- after home viewers had already been tweeting to keep their favorite artist in the competition during the commercial break -- Levine continued to beg the audience. It's possible his enthusiasm might have swayed some of the votes in Perkins' favor.
"I made Kat a promise. I said if she came and did exactly what she did... she'd move on. I'll do whatever you want me to do. I'll sell myself! Make the right decision, or I'll get very, very, very upset with you," Levine said.
After Tuesday night's show, Choice sat down withThe Voice host Carson Daly and, despite getting eliminated, said "the best is yet to come" for him.
"Everybody thinks it's one of those things where, like, you're devastated [but] my phone is flooded with just words of encouragement, affirmation. I'm in a great place, man," Choice explained, adding that he wouldn't have done anything differently in the hopes of sticking around longer.
"No. I feel as if I gave every ounce of me. It's just amazing to say, like, I literally gave it my all."
