The Voice eliminated Troy Ramey and determined the twelfth season's Top 11 artists during Tuesday night's live results broadcast on NBC.

Troy from Sea Cliff, NY, landed in the bottom two with Mark Isaiah from Mt. Pocono, PA, based on home viewer votes cast following Monday night's Top 12 performance show.

After both artists sang a survival song last night, America tweeted via the show's "Instant Save" format to keep Mark in the competition. Mark continues to represent coach Adam Levine's team going forward, while Troy was on coach Gwen Stefani's team.

Troy kicked off the elimination format by singing "Drift Away" by Dobie Gray for his survival song.

Gwen told her artist that it "had to be enough" to stick around another week. She said Troy's singing is so natural and intuitive, and it was one of her favorite performances ever.

Gwen asked viewers to vote for Troy so he could show more of his gift and personality on the show. Gwen thought every choice Troy made in the song was "perfect."

Mark then followed that up with a performance of "When I Was Your Man" by Bruno Mars.

Adam told his artist that performance was indicative of why he must stay on The Voice longer.

Adam insisted Mark is on a mission and getting better every day, adding that it would be a shame to see him go before America realizes his full potential.

Adam admitted he'd be frustrated if Mark got eliminated because he's "just reaching the tip of the iceberg of what he can do."

Adam expected Mark would shine in the competition and therefore his exit would be "a loss" and "a miss."

Home viewers had a short five-minute window to vote for Troy or Mark to stay on The Voice via Twitter. At the end of the final commercial break, it was a 52% to 48% vote in Mark's favor.

"It's hard to really show who I am as an artist and a songwriter in this short time I have here," Troy told Gwen before Tuesday night's final set of results were announced by The Voice host Carson Daly.

Troy also thanked Gwen for believing in him from the beginning of the show.

Mark will continue on to The Voice's Top 11 performance show next week.
