"She's doing as well as can be expected for the situation," Gorga told Us Weekly. "You know, she's doing well for what's going on."

Teresa, 42, is serving her 15-month sentence for fraud at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, CT. She surrendered January 5 but will be released four months early on December 23.

"I miss Joe and my girls terribly, but we are going to get through this as a family one day at a time," Teresa previously told Us. "We will be stronger because of this. Nothing can break us apart."

Teresa's husband Joe Giudice said the reality TV star is exercising a lot and "getting pretty ripped" behind bars. He also revealed that although Teresa has had her fair share of drama on The Real Housewives, she's getting along with everyone just fine.

"Nobody really bothers her," Joe told the magazine. "They give her space."

Teresa also reportedly spends a lot of time cooking in prison, and so her inmates appreciate the good food.

Teresa and Joe have four daughters together -- Gia, 14, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 9, and Audriana, 5. Joe has apparently been taking his wife being away very hard

"I cry more than the girls. I pretty much cry every time I leave [from visiting Teresa]. Like a little baby," Joe, 44, admitted to Us last month.

The couple pleaded guilty to 41 counts of financial fraud in March 2014. After reaching a plea deal, Teresa was sentenced on October 2, as was Joe, who will start his own 41-month sentence after his wife does her time. The arrangement was made so that one parent can always be with their kids.
