ABC has announced The Proposal will premiere Monday, June 18 at 10PM ET/PT, right after The Bachelorette's two-hour episode ends.

During the one-hour premiere episode of The Proposal, ten eligible women selected by a panel of matchmakers will attempt to win the heart of one gentleman -- whose identity is concealed from them -- by competing in four pageant-style rounds to win his heart.

ABC has revealed the first "mystery gentleman" of the season will be Mike, a police officer from Bakersfield, CA.

By the end of the debut broadcast, Mike will propose to one of two remaining women, and the newly-acquainted couple could leave the show engaged.

As previously revealed, former NFL quarterback and The Bachelor star Jesse Palmer will serve as host of the series, which ABC announced it had ordered last month.

The 10-episode series will also feature women in the leading role, with 10 eligible men competing for them.

The male or female daters will attempt to woo the mystery lead with their words in a first impressions round. A beachwear round is next, followed by a question and answer round in which the lead will ask "the most pressing romantic questions," according to ABC.

The male or female daters will then strive to receive approval from the lead's most trusted family member in the final round.

After each phase, the daters who fail to connect with the lead will be eliminated, leading to the "dramatic and highly-anticipated reveal," the network teases, when the two remaining daters finally meet the mystery lead for the first time.

The Proposal is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Unscripted & Alternative Television. In addition to Mike Fleiss, the other executive producers are Martin Hilton, James Breen and Jason Ehrlich.

The Bachelor wrapped its 22nd season in March on ABC, and The Bachelorette's fourteenth edition starring Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s ex-fiancee, Becca Kufrin, is set to premiere on Monday, May 28 at 8PM ET/PT.
