"Le Bureau" will be set in a business park north of Paris and will star François Berléand as office manager David Brent, or as the French are calling him, Gilles Triquet, the BBC reported Thursday.

The show is scheduled to debut in the spring on the Canal + network.

"The Office" ran on the BBC from 2001 until 2003. Its U.S. version, starring Steve Carell, is currently in its second season and recently won a Golden Globe Award.

"The Office" has been sold in 80 countries, making it the BBC's most successful export ever.
