Edwards, the estranged wife of former U.S. presidential hopeful Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., is to appear on the nationally syndicated series, due to premiere the week of Sept. 13.

In a two-part daytime talk-show exclusive, Edwards reveals how she is turning the page on the past and beginning a new chapter in her life focusing on her relationship with her children, as well as her love of design, publicists for the show said in a news release.

Berkus, an interior decorator, has appeared frequently on Oprah Winfrey's TV talk show.

Last year, Elizabeth Edwards opened Red Window, a home furnishings business whose name was inspired by a shop run by her mother in Japan. The move came shortly after her husband admitted fathering a child with another woman while Elizabeth Edwards was being treated for cancer.

"I found Elizabeth to be incredibly honest, funny and just a pleasure to be around. Her passion to build a new life for herself is nothing if not inspiring. And, the fact that we both love design, gave us an instant connection," Berkus said in a statement. "Being around her reaffirmed my love of strong women. They take their lives into their own hands and aren't bound by any parameters or rules."
