The Bachelorette star Hannah Brown is opening up about Jed Wyatt's admission that finding love wasn't the main reason why he decided to appear on the show's fifteenth season.

"When a guy walks in with a guitar, they are notoriously -- you're always suspectful of something, but all I've wanted is somebody to be honest and real with me, and he was that," Hannah told Entertainment Tonight of Jed.

Hannah said she wanted her bachelors to take ownership of their actions and faults on Season 15 of the ABC reality dating competition, and Jed did just that during his first one-on-one date of the season in Newport, RI.

Jed, 25, told Hannah over a romantic dinner that he had applied for The Bachelorette knowing it would be an excellent platform for his singing and songwriting aspirations.

"[Jed] did exactly what I asked him to do, and so, I admired that," Hannah told ET.

"And I have a strong connection with Jed, and so, for me, that was really important to hear from his mouth, like, 'Hey this is why I came on.'"

Many fans were shocked to hear Jed come clean about his initial intentions, and the news prompted a mixed reaction from Bachelor Nation.

But Hannah argued, "Ultimately, none of those guys knew it was really me that was going to be the lead when they signed up for the show," Hannah said.

"So, for [Jed] to say, 'Hey, I didn't know who it was going to be. This is why I came on the show, but now I really do have feelings for you,' that I feel like was even harder to do. And I appreciated it."

Hannah continued, "I felt like, 'Alright, we've got that covered. I already kind of knew, so now we can build a stronger relationship.'"

Hannah probably suspected Jed was trying to shine light on his name in the music industry because the Nashville resident sang to her at the very first cocktail party of the season and belted out a song during the "Mr. Right" pageant on a group date.

When Jed confessed his initial motive for appearing on The Bachelorette to Hannah, he said, "When I signed up for the show. I was so clueless. I was open to the idea because I love love. I do, I love the idea of it. But my first thought was, you know, 'This is a huge platform.'"

"I just want you to know the truth. So I came in with that mindset, but every moment that we've had has just kind of taken all that away and showed me that now, more than anything, I just want to be with you."

Jed continued at the time, "Now that I see who you are, that's all I want. I feel something growing inside of me that I've never felt before. I'm starting to feel like I'm falling for you more and more. It's beyond a show at this point."

Hannah told Jed in reply that she respected his honesty and believed his passion for his music was "amazing."

"I would never want to take that away from you, and I would never want to hinder that," Hannah told Jed of his career.

After the episode aired, Jed took to his Instagram Stories to explain why he had decided to be truthful with Hannah about the situation.

"Hannah said she wanted us to be open and honest and I didn't want to go another day without her knowing the truth," Jed wrote on his Instagram Stories on Monday.

"I knew some people would take it the wrong way but what mattered to me was being honest so we could focus on our relationship."

Jed's music has been released on YouTube, iTunes, Spotify and more, with his most recent single being "Vacation," which dropped in August 2018.

Going into The Bachelorette's fifth episode, Jed is one of 15 bachelors still in the running to win Hannah's heart and final rose.
