The Bachelorette alum Hannah Brown has consulted with a matchmaker for advice and guidance as she attempts to navigate her new "frustrating" dating adventures.

Hannah, who starred on The Bachelorette's fifteenth season last year, recently went on a series of dates with men she had met on a dating app -- but there just wasn't a spark with any of them.

In a recent YouTube video Hannah posted to her channel, she sat down with her friend and life coach Nora Dekeyser, who is also a professional matchmaker, for a candid chat about what she needs in a relationship.

"I'm back in the dating game and it's really great to have Nora because I need help! Lord  bless, it hasn't always gone great, but we are going to change that," Hannah said with a laugh.

"I haven't dated since [The Bachelorette]. If you don't know yourself completely or you lose sight of that, it becomes, 'What do I want? Who do I want to be with? Is this actually something that I like? Is it not?'"

Hannah said dating and learning what she wants in her future husband "got really hard" for her.

"So, for a while, I tried to numb it as much as possible. I was like, 'I can't deal with this right now, I'm going to focus on me.' But I wasn't really focusing on me; I was just trying to get through it. I'm a professional at that," Hannah shared.

Hannah said she had to "take a hard look in the mirror" to figure out what she's after.

"I think I am truly ready to be able to give and receive love again, but it definitely has been a journey," Hannah admitted.

Hannah revealed to Nora she was talking to one guy and kind of got "ditched" and so she wasn't going to put up with guys like that any longer. That's when Hannah decided t sign up for a dating app, while she was vacationing in Cabo.

"Heck, I've been on a dating show, I can get on a dating app," Hannah recalled of throwing herself into the dating-app pool. "It can happen anywhere."

Of her experience on the dating app so far, Hannah said, "It's definitely been challenging, and also for me, it's been kind of scary... Some guys would be super cute but they wouldn't ask [me out], they just wanted to chat."

Hannah has gone on a few dates since putting herself out there, but none of the guys blew her away.

"I'm glad I put myself out there, but as soon as I walked up, I would know immediately [if it would work]. And then you kind of feel like you're stuck on the date or you feel like you have to make up an excuse. It's just been a little frustrating," Hannah explained.

"I'm really happy I did it. Has it worked out? Not really."

So what is the Season 28 Dancing with the Stars champion looking for in her ideal man?

"There's an energy when you walk up to somebody. It's not even about how attractive they are. For me, it's how they are when they walk up and meet you, it's how their demeanor is... You're just, like, intrigued," Hannah shared.

"There are some people you're naturally drawn to and get along with, and I think that varies from person to person... It's not really about what they look like. And I will say, they can get you on the dating app!"

Hannah explained some men are more photogenic than others, while other guys appear cuter in person than they looked in their dating-app photos.

"There has to be something about them that's super confident and open. Somebody honest, which I've also had issues with that," Hannah said.

Hannah selected Jed Wyatt as the winner of her heart over runner-up Tyler Cameron on The Bachelorette last year at the Final Rose Ceremony of Season 15, but the former Alabama beauty pageant queen broke up with Jed five weeks after they got engaged because he had lied about having a girlfriend back home in Nashville during filming.

"Just say who you are, what you know, and what you're about. I want to know what I'm working with. There shouldn't be beating around the bush," Hannah noted.

"Be honest, upfront, open and confident. And I'm looking for someone passionate and successful... They just want to succeed in whatever life throws at them and what they're passionate about."

Hannah said she also wants a guy who is "fun," and Nora suggested the reality TV star needs a guy with "a little edge" or else Hannah will get bored.

"I can shut down and it's good for me to have somebody who can get me out there and match my energy. I also have all these crazy big dreams, so I need someone kind of stable, too. I want stability in my life," Hannah said in her YouTube video.

"I need you to be super fun and have energy but be stable and let me be a star."

Hannah also desires a man who will be okay with the fact she's still growing as a person and changing. She wants a guy who will listen to how she feels and appreciate hearing what's on her mind -- all the while being supportive and respectful of her feelings and opinions.

"I have douchebag drool. I'll drool all over you in a second... It's ridiculous! So I've got to get out of that," Hannah admitted.

"I'm a good girl with a little paprika or a little sriracha!"

Hannah, however, insisted she's "not desperate" for a boyfriend although it's "a desire" in her heart to have a partner in life.

"I'm going to continue putting myself out there and going on dates... I'm really clear about what I want and what I expect," Hannah concluded.

Fans have been shipping Hannah and Tyler to get back together for a while now, but the pair appear to still be just friends.

On The Bachelorette's live reunion special in late July 2019, Hannah asked Tyler out on a date, which resulted in the pair spending one night together in Los Angeles.

However, nothing ever came of it because Tyler appeared to set his sights on supermodel Gigi Hadid, whom he dated for two months, and moved to New York City to pursue modeling. (He later had flings with Kylie Jenner's best friend Anastasia Karanikolaou and swimsuit model Jilissa Ann Zoltko).

Tyler admitted he and Hannah "struggled" to figure out their relationship for quite some time, especially when they quarantined with each other in Florida for three weeks in March.

Hannah returned home to her family in Alabama on April 1 and expressed at the time how she and Tyler only had a platonic relationship, and in late September, Hannah and Tyler were spotted having lunch together in Los Angeles.

In an early October YouTube video Hannah and Tyler created together, the pair confirmed they never hooked up -- or even kissed -- while in quarantine.

However, Hannah confessed she and Tyler had been "feeling each other out" at the time and the lack of clarity she had about their relationship was frustrating.

"I didn't want to do something because I was in a bad place or vulnerable," Tyler said, adding that he had "mixed feelings" about pursuing a romance with Hannah again after getting dumped on The Bachelorette.

"I just wanted to work on it being a friendship. If we stepped away from each other and wanted more, we could always go and get more."

But Hannah apparently felt led on at times and the pair had major disagreements.

"I think it was really hard for me and him just being like, 'Let's just chill.' He'd always say, '[Let's] figure it out,'" Hannah said in the October video.

"And I'm like, 'What are we figuring out?' And I hated figuring it out... I'm pretty sure there were days when we barely talked to each other."

Although their relationship was "unhealthy" at the time, they continued to talk things out and so their friendship gradually improved to the "cool" dynamic they have as friends today.

"We're going to still hang out," Hannah noted, adding that the former couple doesn't feel any "pressure" to be together anymore or define their relationship.

"I think everything we've been through and all the stuff we've done, we care about each other and we're there for each other. I'm super stoked about where we're at right now," Tyler added at the time.
