The Bachelorette star Gabby Windey has revealed why she's hesitant or concerned about potentially starting up a romance with former Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino.

Gabby and Vinny, who met on Dancing with the Stars' 31st season, have been publicly flirting on social media since November 15, sparking rumors they're romantically interested in each other and prompting fans to ship them as a handsome reality TV couple.

Gabby recently said she would definitely go on a date with Vinny, whom she also recently called her "celebrity crush," but the ball is apparently in his court now and he needs to ask her out.

"I feel like it's understood [I would say 'yes' to a date]," Gabby confirmed to Joe Amabile and Natasha Parker on the December 15 episode of the "Click Bait with Bachelor Nation" podcast.

"But we live in different states, and my schedule is so crazy, so I think, like, I don't know!"

Gabby also insisted that she and Vinny never flirted in or outside of Dancing with the Stars rehearsals, especially since she was still engaged to her The Bachelorette 19 winner Erich Schwer for the first half of the season until reports about their breakup began to swirl in early November.

(Gabby spoke out for the first time about their split and how they weren't "in sync" with each other on November 14).

Gabby and Vinny appear to be on the same page about how starting up a long-distance relationship would be scary because it's already difficult enough to date as celebrities in the public eye.

According to Natasha, a The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise alum, she recently spoke to Vinny on her "Click Bait" podcast as well as when they bumped into each other at a party.

Natasha recalled her conversation with Vinny being about Gabby.

"We get to talking... about Dancing with the Stars and how there were, like, groups of people and you guys were in the same group," Natasha shared.

Gabby was partnered with Dancing with the Stars pro Val Chmerkovskiy, while Vinny competed on Season 31 of the Disney+ series with Koko Iwasaki. Gabby said she and Koko became good friends during their time on the show and so the two pairs would hang out and show each other their dance routines.

Vinny and Koko got eliminated before the DWTS semifinals, but Gabby and Val were named the runner-up couple behind TikTok star Charli D'Amelio and pro partner Mark Ballas during the show's finale.

"[Vinny] said you guys got to know each other," Natasha continued in her story to Gabby. "And he asked me, 'Have you met Gabby?' And I was like, 'Yeah.' And he was like, 'So you know [then that] she's beautiful, she's great, she's awesome.' And I was like, 'Uh huh! I know, yeah!'"

Gabby giggled and noted that Vinny would probably never say those things to her face.

"Well I'm spilling the tea, sorry, Vinny!" Natasha said with a sinister giggle.

"So he said, 'She's amazing, she was engaged and of course I'm a [respectful] person, like, we were cool, but once that ended, I was already gone.' He literally said that."

Gabby and Erich were shown getting engaged on The Bachelorette's nineteenth season finale, which aired in late September.

Natasha went on to explain, "But then he was like, 'I live in New York and she lives in L.A., but if we lived in the same place, maybe things would be different.'"

Natasha recalled teasing Vinny about how "he's always in" Los Angeles, but that would explain why Vinny has been dragging his feet on pursuing Gabby and taking her on a date.

"He said he's been on TV for so long and he's been in this world for so long -- reality television -- that he said, 'We're basically married. Everyone thinks we're married. After two little comments, everyone thinks we're married,'" Natasha shared.

"And so I think he loves that. He loves it, he loves it!"

Gabby joked about how "the best part" of this whole thing is that Vinny had "created this monster" in the press.

"Now all of [his] comments are like, 'Where's Gabby? Where's Gabby?' They are so stoked for us. But yeah, I think it's all led to good things," Gabby noted.

Last month, Vinny and Gabby drove fans crazy with their social-media flirtation. Vinny, for instance, playfully dubbed Gabby his "Baby Mamma," and she in turn called him, "My main man."

Gabby also called Vinny a "ten" on Instagram and he joked in reply about how she needed to stop talking about herself. Gabby has also dropped her fair share of sexy comments on Vinny's pictures.

Gabby joked on the "Chicks in the Office" podcast how she and Vinny both enjoyed stirring the pot, but then just last week, Gabby revealed to Us Weekly that dating Vinny could be a real "possibility" for her.

"I don't know, we'll have to wait and see. Gabby, tan, laundry," she joked, referring to the famous tagline, "Gym, tan, laundry," that the Jersey Shore cast would often say when the reality series aired on MTV.

Gabby, who also briefly dated The Bachelorette alums Dean Unglert and Blake Horstmann before her stint on The Bachelor's 26th season starring Clayton Echard, has been wanting a commitment from a man who will love her unconditionally.

Gabby said her stint on Dancing with the Stars was therapeutic for her as she dealt with her split from Erich.

As for Vinny, Jersey Shore fans probably remember that he hooked up with Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Angelina Pivarnick. He also dated Instagram model Elicea Shyann from 2017-2018.

In 2019, Vinny and his Jersey Shore co-star Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio looked for love on Double Shot at Love, but a lasting relationship didn't come from the show.

Vinny also dated Too Hot to Handle star Francesca Farago in 2020, according to Life & Style.

When asked if he'd like to get married and have kids, Vinny told In Touch Weekly in June 2021, "I would never just settle down just to settle down. It would have to be for the right one."
