The Bachelor star Ben Higgins' relationship with his new fiancee reportedly is on the rocks and facing a questionable future.

According to an In Touch Weekly source, the bachelorette whom Higgins gave his final rose to during The Bachelor's finale is "only sticking it out for the sake of the show," OK! Weekly reported.

"At this point, everyone is just hoping they make it to ABC's After the Final Rose special."

Higgins has gushed to the world about his love for Season 20's winner and how he'd marry her tomorrow if he could, however, sources claim he's really hurting inside.

The problem reportedly stems from the fact Higgins' said "I love you" to both Lauren Bushnell and Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher in the final days of his journey on the show. The selected bachelorette is extremely bothered by how torn he was.

"She is having a very hard time getting over the fact that Ben told another woman 'I love you' within hours of proposing to her," the source said.

"The winner knew that Ben had feelings for the runner-up, but she didn't realize how strong those feelings were until she watched the show. He was indecisive on who to pick until the last minute."

It's therefore been a very bumpy ride for the couple since Higgins' November proposal.

"These last few months have been brutal. Ben and his fiancee have been fighting nonstop," the source said. "He feels emotionally dumped. At this point, the romance is gone between them."

Higgins has reassured his leading lady "a million times" she's the only one for him, according to In Touch, Hollywood Life reported, but she doesn't believe him.

"She's telling friends she doesn't know if she can go through with the wedding. She feels like their trust is broken," the source explained.

"He's jumping through hoops right now. Ben went and spoiled all that to prove his love. All he wants is to get married and start a family. He's made it clear that he'll do anything for her."
