The Bachelor couple Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar have revealed how their relationship has changed since getting engaged on the show's 27th season.

"It was such a high intensity time for us [after] the show, and then we got to focus on ourselves -- going back to Austin," Zach revealed during a joint interview with Kaity on the May 19 episode of "The Ben and Ashley I: Almost Famous Podcast."

Zach continued, "Sure we had to do some long-distance in between while the show was airing, but truly, I think our relationship got stronger and stronger."

Ben pointed out how many The Bachelor and The Bachelorette couples before them found themselves "breaking" at this point in the relationship.

"It could be really easy [for the show] to cause a lot of issues, and we've seen that in the past. But [Kaity and I] have great communication and there's a trust and loyalty," Zach said.

When asked how they helped each other through The Bachelor season, Zach shared, "I'm kind of someone who tells it how it is, and I wear my heart on my sleeve -- all the time -- for better or for worse. But I think in general, there's really no hiding or guessing what I'm feeling."

Zach also said Kaity "does a really good job of that."

While it was tricky for them to text and FaceTime while the show was airing, spending in-person time together really helped to strengthen their bond.

"Now we're with each other a lot," Zach noted.

"Like 24/7," Kaity chimed in.

Zach elaborated, "So basically, we're like a full-married couple. We just haven't officially moved in together yet."

Zach, who was living in California while filming The Bachelor, officially moved back to Austin, TX, on April 6. Kaity, meanwhile, was already living in Austin prior to competing on the show.

Since Kaity and Zach returned to Austin, TX, Kaity said she's spent a total of about three nights in her own house.

"Yeah. She's got her sink, basically, and her side of the bed. It's all figured out, even her snacks," Zach shared of her sharing his place.

"But yeah, we've just been so strong," Kaity added. "And we're just getting to know each other more and learning each other's quirks and everything... and I'm, like, more in love with him every single day, truly."

Kaity admitted, "I know it sounds corny to say that, but I learn something new about him every day and he's an amazing man!"

Zach said there was "not a single doubt" in his mind that he's going to marry Kaity when he popped the question to her in Thailand.

"I can't imagine not. I still feel that way and it's even stronger now," Zach shared. "Sure, we fight like every other couple and bicker and this and that, but the love is there. I didn't think that was fully possible... through a TV show, but it just feels like a blessing."

Zach gushed about how he and Kaity "are really lucky," and in addition to marriage, Kaity said they "definitely" see children in their future.

"I'm not going to see headlines in two months that you two have split up," Ben concluded.

"Oh heck no!" Kaity proudly responded. "Absolutely not... We are right for each other."

Zach said "little" moments with Kaity "add up" and reaffirm that she's his "person," and he added how he's most looking forward to starting a family with her.

After returning to Austin post-show, Kaity began working as a nurse again and Zach said he plans to resume his job as a tech salesman soon.

Kaity and Zach recently released engagement photos on social media, and the lovebirds hope to wed in 2025.

On The Bachelor's 27th season, Zach proposed marriage to Kaity in Thailand after he rejected Gabi Elnicki in second place.

When Gabi was walking up to Zach to learn the fate of their relationship, she expressed to the cameras how she had a feeling that she knew what was about to happen. Gabi's intuition apparently told her that she was going to have her heart crushed.

Gabi previously said on the "Click Bait with Bachelor Nation" podcast that there's a good reason why she chose not to self-eliminate from Zach's season when she was well aware that Zach was going to pick Kaity as his winner at the Final Rose Ceremony.

"I thought about my friendship with Kaity, and I hesitated saying this, but I think it is important to know, like, why I did stay," Gabi said in late March.

"I thought about my relationship with Kaity, and if I were in her shoes. And it was clear, Kaity was the choice. Kaity had been the choice. But if I had left, she could've felt like she was the choice by default. And she was truly the choice."

Gabi therefore wanted Kaity to have her moment -- a beautiful engagement free of doubts, reservations and insecurities.

"I never wanted her to feel like, 'Well, Gabi left, and so he had to choose me,'" Gabi explained to Joe Amabile on his podcast.

"Because no, he was always choosing Kaity. The only reason I would've left is because I knew he was choosing Kaity, but I didn't want her to feel any kind of doubt when he proposed to her and she watched it all back."

At the Final Rose Ceremony, Zach told Gabi that he wasn't "fully" able to make his final decision until the night before when he was in bed, but Gabi argued, "You've known. You've known."

Zach later told The Bachelor host Jesse Palmer on After the Final Rose that he knew he was going to choose Kaity during their last-chance date in Thailand.

Even though Gabi said she saw her elimination coming, she admitted in her final words on The Bachelor finale that she felt "humiliated" by the breakup.

Zach starred on The Bachelor after having his own heart broken by Rachel Recchia on The Bachelorette's nineteenth season last year. She ousted him in third place after Fantasy Suites.
