"I'm in a relationship," Nick, 40, said on the Monday episode of his The Viall Files podcast. "It's fun. It's great. I'm super happy."

Nick did not identify his girlfriend by name, but he did tell his guest Esther Povitsky that "she's in healthcare."

"I love that she is passionate about what she does," Nick noted.

"She's cool... She's a surgical tech," he continued, mentioning the same surgical technologist occupation Natalie lists on her Instagram account.

He added, "What I like about [her profession] is I know nothing about it," Nick said. "I couldn't do it. I can't speak to it. I can't even try to sound smart to it. And that's really quite impressive."

In addition to calling Natalie "very confident" and "so wonderful," he bragged about her being cool, calm and collected.

"Between the two of us, I am easily the most dramatic. Like, I'm the drama queen, and that's the first time I've ever experienced that and it's really great... She is the voice of reason, which is a breath of fresh air," Nick disclosed.

And Nick couldn't help but boast about his girlfriend's morals and values.

"She might have the highest character of anyone I've dated," Nick revealed, "but that's not to disrespect anyone I've ever dated... She's always present with what's going on in the world... She's always helping people out."

Nick admitted although it "sounds so cheesy," Natalie makes him "want to be better."

"Everyone loves her. Without question, everyone likes her more than me. All of my friends. Without question. And it makes me a little insecure about myself," Nick joked.

When Esther asked how they met, Nick revealed that he didn't make the first move!

"She slid into my DMs. It was very romantic," Nick revealed with a laugh, adding that he first met her when he was with some of his friends in New York.

Despite their instant attraction, Nick said he and Natalie "both had reluctance" and were "both unsure" at first about whether to date exclusively.

"We kind of kept hanging out, and then she finally got a point where she was like, 'I want to date,' and I was kind of like, 'I don't know,'" Nick recalled.

He explained, "She just was like, 'Okay, this is what I want. It's fine, no big deal, but I'm gonna go do my thing,' and she did, and I was like, 'What?!'"

Nick elaborated, "She's very chill... She was like, 'Okay, no problem,' and then she went and showed me exactly what I'd be missing... She didn't try to change my mind or convince me. She was just like, 'Cool.'"

Nick said he and Natalie always had an open and communicative relationship, even when they agreed to see other people and keep things light towards the beginning of their relationship.

Once trust was established, it apparently didn't take Nick long to fall for Natalie.

"I have those moments of gratitude and thankfulness of being happy. There are those moments of, like, 'You're really great, and I'm really happy you're a part of my life' kind of thoughts," Nick gushed.

Natalie and Nick went Instagram official on January 27 when she shared a video on her Instagram Stories of Nick playing a virtual reality game.

Natalie created the post about a week after the pair were spotted taking an afternoon stroll through Nick's neighborhood in Los Angeles where he had purchased his first home for $1.72 million in September 2020.

A source told Us Weekly earlier this month, "Nick and Natalie have been very coy about their relationship. He's not one to just divulge his love life, especially after everyone witnessed his public breakups and what he's gone through on national TV."

"Their relationship is very real," the source added.

"They've been dating since the beginning of COVID but have just started going public. They're pretty much inseparable. You can say she practically lives with him because she's at his house that much."

According to People, Nick and Natalie began dating all the way back in 2019.

"She's great for him," an insider told People late last month.

Nick cracked jokes about his dating life and said it was "just fine" in a May 2020 interview amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

"I'm chatting it up. [Doing] FaceTimes, Zooms. I will say single people out there are as eager as ever," Nick told The Bachelor alum Demi Burnett in an episode of her Big Demi Energy with Demi Burnett podcast. "Everyone's horny."

Nick starred on Season 21 of The Bachelor following multiple attempts to find love on reality TV.

After competing for Andi Dorfman's heart on The Bachelorette's tenth season in 2014 and finishing as the runner-up behind winner Josh Murray, Nick appeared on Kaitlyn Bristowe's season the following year.

Nick showed up on Kaitlyn's The Bachelorette edition several weeks into the process but wooed Kaitlyn quickly.

The pair memorably slept together in Ireland well ahead of the overnight Fantasy Suites.

Kaitlyn, however, ended up giving her final rose and getting engaged to personal trainer Shawn Booth, whom she split from in November 2018 after three years of being together.

(Kaitlyn is now dating The Bachelorette alum Jason Tartick).

Nick continued his search for love on reality television following his split from Kaitlyn through a stint on Bachelor in Paradise, but when a romance with Jennifer Saviano didn't work out, ABC selected him to star on The Bachelor's 2017 season to hopefully find his match.

Nick got engaged to Vanessa Grimaldi at the end of his season, but their romance kicked off with more challenges than the average The Bachelor couple to come out of the show given Vanessa was living in Canada and Nick wanted to stay in the United States.

Shortly after getting engaged, Nick also competed on Dancing with the Stars, which soaked up a lot of his free time and energy.

Nick and Vanessa split in August 2017 and Nick seemingly never entered a serious relationship since -- until now.

As for Vanessa, she announced her engagement to Canadian businessman Josh Wolfe in August 2020.

Vanessa went public with her relationship with Josh in January 2019 after a fling with a different guy in Spring 2018 didn't work out.
