The Bachelor alum Hannah Ann Sluss believes she and Peter Weber would probably have gotten married and lived happily ever after as a couple if he hadn't ended their engagement.

Peter proposed marriage to Hannah Ann while filming The Bachelor's 24th season in late 2019, but a couple of months later, Peter confessed to his fiancee in January 2020 that he still had feelings for Madison Prewett and couldn't give Hannah Ann his whole heart.

Peter and Hannah Ann therefore broke up despite her sincere love for the pilot, and Hannah Ann appeared blindsided and resentful, saying Peter had been "reckless" with her heart.

"To think that I was like, engaged, probably getting married this fall, it just blows my mind. I'm like, 'Oh, thank you, Lord!'" Hannah Ann, 24, told Us Weekly.

Although Hannah Ann now seems relieved her relationship with Peter is over, she's apparently convinced they would've tied the knot and lasted long-term had they stayed together and worked things out.

"I think if we would have made it through, you know, the first year, I think we would have made it. I don't know, I think that's just me being positive," Hannah Ann revealed.

"The show is just really stressful, especially having to watch all that back. I feel like we would have made it through that, we would have definitely gotten married and made it through it because we both have family values."

"But I think sometimes it's not about meeting the right person, sometimes it's about the right time and place," she elaborated.

"We just weren't at the right time or place. And we're not the right people for each other either, but you know what I mean."

After Hannah Ann and Peter's breakup, the model moved from her hometown in Tennessee to Los Angeles, CA.

"I feel like I'm on my third life now. Prior to the show was one life and then the show was my second life -- being engaged included -- and now I'm on my third life living in Los Angeles, being single and kind of just making the most out of this new life," Hannah Ann shared.

"It's just it's truly been crazy," she added.

But Hannah Ann explained she's not desperate to get into another serious relationship given what she had to go through earlier this year with Peter and getting her heart broken.

"I'm kind of at a place, like, I don't need someone. If someone comes along my path, it's just because I'm going to be wanting them, not because I need them," Hannah Ann insisted.

"Being emotionally, physically, financially independent, there's like a lot of confidence that comes with that. I'm building inner confidence [and] I'm gonna be better for my future partner."

On Peter's The Bachelor season, Madison was the pilot's frontrunner but quit the show before the Final Rose Ceremony because the religious virgin worried they weren't compatible and had totally different lifestyles.

Peter therefore proposed marriage to Hannah Ann at the Final Rose Ceremony in Australia since she had been so open and reassuring about her love for him.

After Peter essentially dumped Hannah Ann, he asked Madison for another shot at dating, and The Bachelor's Season 24 finale in March featured Peter and Madison choosing to work things out despite the disapproval of Peter's family, who didn't think they were a good match.

However, just two short days after the finale aired on ABC, Peter and Madison released separate statements via Instagram on March 12 announcing they had decided to call it quits on their revived romance and go their separate ways.

Peter went on to reconcile and quarantine with his The Bachelor fifth-place finisher, Kelley Flanagan, and the couple confirmed rumors they're dating when they went Instagram official on May 2 with a photo of them embracing in the cockpit of a plane.

Peter and Kelley have been happily together ever since and revealed on an episode of The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons -- Ever! they plan to move to New York City together soon.

Peter and Kelley gushed to Entertainment Tonight in July that they are definitely in love.

"Listen, at the end of the day, it's a reality TV dating show, it's not real life -- normal life. So, I've done a good job of reassuring each other and explaining why I did things the way I did and own up to my fault and be a better person moving forward," Peter said at the time.

Peter acknowledged of his mistakes on The Bachelor, "Everything I put Kelley through... I'm still working to make it up to her for not picking her, and I'm never going to stop."
