InformationWeek reported Monday when the dust cleared and participants got to rest their fingers, Morgan Pozgar was left on top thanks to her ability to text the lyrics to "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" at high speed.
By texting the first two lines to the popular "Mary Poppins" song in 15 seconds, the Pennsylvania native took home the $25,000 grand prize and bragging rights as the nation's top text messenger.
The teenager had plenty of practice to hone her craft prior to Saturday's event. She admitted to sending thousands of text messages a month to friends.
When asked how she intended to spend her newfound winnings, Pozgar responded in a way reminiscent of most teens.
"Now I want to go shopping," she told InformationWeek.
