Terrell Owens has announced his Dancing with the Stars' Season 25 participation.

Terrell, a 43-year-old former NFL football wide receiver and six-time Pro Bowler, revealed Tuesday on Good Morning America he'll be competing on the upcoming fall edition of Dancing with the Stars with professional partner Cheryl Burke.

"I'm hoping to put up some big numbers with this lovely lady right here," Terrell said of Cheryl one day after she confirmed her Dancing with the Stars return.

The pair has already started practicing for Dancing with the Stars, and after several hours of rehearsal, Cheryl said she learned "he's got some rhythm."

However, Cheryl -- a two-time mirrorball trophy winner, who won a DWTS season with NFL legend Emmitt Smith -- admitted, "We've got to start from the beginning because he's never danced before."

"He's all about lights, camera, action," she added. "He's a performer, so I'm definitely going to use that to my advantage. As long we do the work in the studio and really practice hard, then he can do whatever he likes on the dance floor."

Terrell has played for NFL teams including the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. His football career concluded with 1,078 receptions, 15,935 yards and 153 touchdowns.

"If I can handle Bill Parcells then I can handle Cheryl," Terrell said of his former Dallas Cowboys coach. "But it's going to be challenge. Yesterday we got our first start at trying to learn some steps, so that's the challenge."

Terrell apparently received some advice about competing on Dancing with the Stars from his pal Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson, who had competed on the show's tenth season with Cheryl as well.

"He said it's going to be a lot of work, but I expect nothing different," Terrell explained of his conversation with Chad. "This is going to be a challenge for me, definitely. [It's] definitely not in my wheelhouse. I danced as a little kid but this is nothing like what I'm going to expect, I'm sure."

Terrell, who played his final NFL season in 2010, has also dabbled in modeling and writing children's and fitness books. He was the second celebrity official announced for Dancing with the Stars' next season.

Just last week, Property Brothers star Drew Scott confirmed he had decided to join the lineup of celebrities on Dancing with the Stars.

Drew will be partner with reigning Dancing with the Stars champion Emma Slater, who won with pro football running back Rashad Jennings.

"We've actually done two rehearsals," Drew said on GMA last week. "I'm an athletic guy, I'm a sporty guy and I like taking on a challenge, but I've never danced before."

The complete list of celebrity contestants will be announced Wednesday, September 6 on Good Morning America.

Names of other cast members that have reportedly leaked out include Total Divas star Nikki Bella, actor Frankie Muniz, NBA star Derek Fisher, Shark Tank star Barbara Corcoran, ESPN personality and former pro swimmer Victoria Arlen, and celebrity couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey.

Dancing with the Stars' 25th season is set to premiere Monday, September 18 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
