Ted Nugent pleaded no contest to two hunting-related misdemeanors in California's Yuba Superior Court, court records show.

The Sacramento Bee said the rocker's lawyer entered the plea on his behalf Aug. 13. As part of the plea deal, Nugent admitted he illegally baited a deer and failed to have a deer tag signed by a government official after a kill.
Nugent, 61, who lives in China Springs, Texas, was penalized with a $1,750 fine, the Bee reported.
California game wardens filed a complaint against Nugent after they spotted the hunting violations on the musician's Outdoor Channel show "Spirit of the Wild" last February.
"We looked at it and we just shook our heads, saying 'I can't believe he actually aired this episode,'" Department of Fish and Game spokesman Patrick Foy told the newspaper. "We were all really disappointed to see this happen with a guy who is a representative of hunters."
