Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X switched up the castaways into three tribes and then got rid of Ciandre "CeCe" Taylor during Wednesday night's Episode 5 broadcast on CBS.

CeCe, a 39-year-old insurance adjuster from Granada Hills, CA, became the fifth castaway voted out of Season 33 of Survivor on Night 15 at the game's fifth Tribal Council session.

The new Vanua tribe, featuring a mix of Gen Xers and millennials, had to vote one of their members off after they lost the game's fifth Immunity Challenge to the opposing Takali and Ikabula tribes.

"I was blindsided. My two fellow Gen Xers voted against me, and going forward, they are going to lose. I think it was the dumbest mistake that they made. I feel betrayed, but I played as hard as I could. I strategized and I snuck in. I absolutely believe that my kids will be very proud about how far I came in the game and that I did my best," CeCe said following her ouster.

The Survivor broadcast began on Night 12 at the Gen X tribe.

"Takali" consisted of CeCe; David, a 42-year-old television writer from Sherman Oaks, CA; Sunday Burquest, a 45-year-old youth pastor from Ostego, MN; Chris Hammons, a 38-year-old trial lawyer from Moore, OK; Bret LaBelle, a 42-year-old police sergeant from Dedham, MA; Jessica Lewis, a 37-year-old assistant district attorney from Voorheesville, NY; and Ken McNickle, a 33-year-old model from Denver, CO.

Dave didn't know if he had made the right move in playing his hidden Immunity Idol for Jessica because he saved someone whom no one really wanted to work with -- and he lost his idol and became vulnerable.

To show how grateful she was, Jessica told Ken that she has "a legacy advantage," which means if she's still in the game on Day 36, she'd receive an advantage in the game. If she was voted out, Jessica told Ken she would hand him the advantage to use. The admission did build trust between the pair.

On Day 13, the Gen Xers openly had an "idol search party" since a new one would be in play. Dave was the only one who knew they needed to look for a symbol of their tribe in order to find it. So once Dave spotted a log with the symbol on it, he broke it open and found another idol.

Takali and Vanua -- the tribe of millennials -- then gathered for what they assumed was a Reward Challenge.

"Vanua" was comprised of Michaela Bradshaw, a 25-year-old in vacation club sales from Fort Worth, TX; Michelle Schubert, a 28-year-old missionary recruiter from Yakima, WA; Jessica "Figgy" Figueroa, a 23-year-old bartender from Nashville, TN; Adam Klein, a 25-year-old homeless shelter manager from San Francisco, CA; Hannah Shapiro, a 24-year-old barista from West Hollywood, CA; Zeke Smith, a 28-year-old asset manager from Brooklyn, NY; Justin "Jay" Starrett, a 27-year-old real estate agent from Fort Lauderdale, FL; Taylor Stocker, a 24-year-old ski instructor from Post Falls, ID; and Will Wahl, an 18-year-old high school student from Long Valley, NJ.

But Jeff asked everyone to drop their buffs, revealing the tribes would be mixed up into three separate tribes.

The castaways to draw orange buffs would return to the millennials' beach and be called Vanua. The people to draw purple buffs would return to Gen X's camp and be called Takali. And lastly, the castaways to draw green buffs would head to a brand new beach where they must start from scratch.

The new tribe would be called Ikabula and have one extra person since there would be no food and they must build a whole new shelter.

Ikabula was comprised of Will, Jay, Hannah, Bret, Sunday, and Michaela. The new Vanua tribe was CeCe, Chris, Dave, Zeke and Michelle. On Takali were Taylor, Figgy, Adam, Jessica and Ken.

Zeke said it was "a disaster scenario" because he was stuck with Michelle -- the one person from the millennials' tribe whom he didn't trust -- and then Gen Xers.

On Day 13, at Ikabula's camp, Bret said he and Sunday were in "serious trouble" due to the numbers, however, they had the determination to make it through. Jay got right to work building the shelter and said millennials aren't just dreamers, they are "relentless."

Jay told the cameras that the Gen Xers would be the first castaways to go.

At Takali's camp, Ken noted the Millennials brought some energy and vibrancy to the tribe since himself and Jessica were grounded and subtle in conversation.

Taylor wanted to be out in public with his Figgy romance, but Figgy rejected the idea because they'd look like a power couple in front of new tribemates, which would paint big targets on their backs.

Adam explained it was his "worst nightmare" to be on a new tribe with only Figgy and Taylor from his former tribe. He called Figgy "controlling" and said she lies constantly. Adam told the cameras in a confessional that Taylor and Figgy's partnership was "worthless."

Ken thought Adam was positive, respectful and polite, and the guys bonded. So Ken hoped there was a chance for the Gen Xers. Adam knew he'd be the swing vote going forward with a pair on either side of him.

At Vanua's camp on Day 14, Michelle admitted she was scared because she was alone with Zeke. Chris, however, liked how Zeke was an Oklahoma boy and a country boy at heart. Chris felt he was in a better position on this tribe and was ready to make big moves.

Chris comforted the millennials by insisting they weren't screwed going forward, mainly because he was looking forward to working with Zeke. Zeke was excited about catching a break and playing the game with a former football player whom he idolized as a kid.

At Ikabula's camp that day, the tribe couldn't make fire and so they couldn't eat or boil water.

Michaela was almost to the point of giving up but then she accomplished the feat of making fire. Bret was excited for her and the moment brought everyone back to life. Michaela realized all the pain and hardship that comes with playing Survivor is worth the potential of winning the money and helping her family.

The three tribes then gathered for an Immunity Challenge on Day 15 and Jeff explained the first two tribes to finish would be safe from the vote.

Each tribe was required to send one person out to dive down, retrieve a buoy and swim it to a platform. Then the next person goes.

After a tribe collected all five buoys, they had to choose between immediately throwing the buoys in attempt to land them in a basket or take the time to pull the basket closer, making it easier to score. The first two tribes to make five baskets would win immunity.

Michaela was on fire making baskets, so she won the challenge for Ikabula. Takali came in second place. Vanua lost the challenge even though Chris had decided to lasso the basket closer to them so they could make the baskets easier.

CeCe and David didn't perform well in the challenge, so Zeke was furious and hoped Chris would make a big move. CeCe said she felt like she was in a recurring nightmare, but she was happy about not being on the bottom. CeCe seemed convinced either Michelle or Zeke was going to be voted off.

Chris had a "crucial decision" to make. Chris said CeCe and Dave had backstabbed him before so one of them needed to go. He needed a big alliance to protect him in the merge, so he said CeCe was his target when she was certain Michelle was her alliance's target.

Chris told Dave that they couldn't get rid of Zeke and it was a critical and pivotal move to make. Dave was nervous about the suggestion because Chris had Zeke and Michelle on his side. Dave wanted Chris to think he could trust him. Chris didn't know if Dave would stay true to his word because he had "burnt" him twice.

Chris joked with the Millennials that if CeCe didn't go home, he'd choke David.

Michelle talked to Michelle about how she was much stronger in the game than David, especially David, and she'd be willing to make a deal since she's at the bottom. Michelle hoped David and Chris were telling her the truth about CeCe.

CeCe told Dave that Michelle wanted the tribe to go after him instead because he's weak and clumsy. Dave didn't trust Michelle at all, and if CeCe got voted out of the tribe, that would leave him as the weakest player -- which would ultimately make him more vulnerable.

Dave therefore started to contemplate whether he should use his hidden Immunity Idol to save CeCe and oust Michelle because Chris, Michelle and Zeke could potentially form a voting block to vote him out at the next Tribal Council.

At Tribal Council that night, Zeke announced he was a provider for the tribe and ready to make a move with some of the Gen Xers. Chris also confirmed he had a lot in common with Zeke.

CeCe revealed she had concerns Chris might want to work with Zeke and vote out a Gen Xer. David felt he needed to prove his loyalty to Chris and said he was going to show that at Tribal.

Chris said he was taking a risk on working with David, and Michelle noted it wasn't smart for Chris to trust someone who had blindsided him twice before. Michelle suggested Chris should vote out David.

After the votes were cast, David decided against using his hidden Immunity Idol.

Jeff then revealed the votes in the following order: Michelle, CeCe, CeCe and CeCe.

CeCe said, "Wow," before she departed, so she was clearly shocked. The episode's closing credits later showed that the group of four voted for CeCe.
