CBS made the announcement and introduced the new format during Wednesday night's live reunion show for Survivor: Kaoh Rong -- Brains vs Brawn vs Beauty. The new season will debut in Fall 2016 and continue to air on Wednesday nights from 8-9PM ET/PT.

"For its 33rd season, Survivor will put 20 new castaways to the ultimate test to prove which generation has what it takes to outwit, outplay and outlast. It's Survivor: Millennials vs Gen X," Probst said in the season's first promo video.

Filmed in Fiji, Survivor: Millennials vs Gen X will feature two different generations battling it out for $1 million.

As shown in the promo video, the millennials appear to largely be 20-something's who are criticized for their perceived laziness and self-entitlement. However, the young generation seem to pride themselves on being creative, social and free.

Meanwhile, Generation X -- which appears to cover people from the ages of 30 to 55 -- have the reputation of being battle-tested and hard working. However, these experienced individuals are mocked by the younger generation for being uptight, condescending and regimented.
