And Jeff confirmed that's exactly what happened ahead of Survivor's Season 44 two-hour premiere on Wednesday, March 1 at 8PM ET/PT on CBS.

"I hadn't heard of Danny's prognostication!" the show's longtime host told TV Insider.

"That's fascinating. I wonder if he noticed something between two players during pre-game or if he just has a hobby of making love predictions."

Jeff continued, "Either way, he might want to consider getting a crystal ball and doing this full time because his instincts were spot on!"

Jeff revealed that Survivor's 44th season definitely "has a showmance."

"[It's] our first showmance in a very long time," Jeff teased. "I won't say anything other than if it lasted, it would make me very happy."

The last time Survivor fans witnessed a showmance was back on Season 37 in 2018, when Dan Rengering and Kara Kay caught feelings for each other. However, the couple's romance was short lived and ended before the finale.

Survivor viewers have seen numerous castaways -- who haven't showered or brushed their teeth in days or maybe weeks -- kiss and cuddle on-screen since the reality series debuted on CBS in Summer 2000, and many of them continued their relationships into the real world.

In several cases, these romances even turned into marriages.

CBS announced the castaways competing on Survivor's 44th season earlier this year.

There will be 18 Survivor castaways fighting to outwit, outplay and outlast their competitors.

The castaways will be divided into three tribes of six players, and they'll "face a faster, more dangerous season from the moment they step on the beach," according to the network.

Players will deal with moral dilemmas and "mysterious new layers" of the game designed to push even the strongest castaways to their limits mentally and physically.

The Survivor cast of Season 44 are fans from diverse backgrounds and range in age from 20 to 46.
