Following the finale, the network will also air Survivor's live reunion show from 10PM ET/PT.

The finale will be a special two-hour episode, followed by the live reunion show from 10-11PM ET/PT.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction is currently several weeks into its broadcast season, as the castaways have yet to reach the merge.

The season premiered on February 20, with 14 newbie castaways competing against each other as well as four veteran players -- Aubry Bracco, David Wright, Joe Anglim, and Kelley Wentworth -- for the $1 million grand prize and the title of "Sole Survivor."

The 18 castaways were divided into two equal tribes, the Manu Tribe and the Kama Tribe, with two returning players on each.

This season presents a new layer to the game with the introduction of the island known as "Edge of Extinction," which "severely tests the will of the castaways to be the 'Sole Survivor' and what they are willing to endure to make that happen," according CBS.

The island presents itself as a barren wasteland with limited resources and harsher winds off the ocean.

The castaways must also work very hard for food. In a recent episode, two castaways were required to climb up a cliff for a small container of rice.

The players who can withstand the emotionally and physically-taxing experience at the Edge of Extinction will be afforded a shot for one of them to get back in the game and continue their quest for the $1 million.

So far, three castaways have been voted out of the Survivor game but they've all chosen to continue their journeys on the show by going to Extinction Island.
