Survivor host Jeff Probst says he would have no issue with snuffing his own wife's torch if she was to play against him in the upcoming season of Survivor: Blood vs. Water.

"It depends on the situation, but absolutely," Probst told Entertainment Weekly.

Survivor: Blood vs. Water -- the franchise's 27th edition which was filmed this past May and June in the Philippines and premieres tonight on CBS at 8PM ET/PT -- will feature 10 returning Survivor castaways initially competing against a second tribe comprised of 10 family members and loved ones.

Probst was then given a specific situation for which he could explain his preferred course of action. If he and his wife, Lisa Ann Russell, made it to the Final 4 together and needed to decide whether they should vote one of them out to ensure at least one jury vote at the final Tribal Council session or continue on together, Probst said he'd want to split up.

"I would definitely put one of us on the jury to ensure one vote because I'm 20 percent of the way there already!" Probst told EW.

"I don't have a lot of faith in working the other jury members. I don't know that you can do that. I think they have their own opinion. What I would do if it was my wife and I down to the Final 4, is we would both be assessing every scenario and we would, I think, probably come to an agreement that either, given the jury, you will be better at swaying them or I will be."

The host admitted himself or his wife could take the cake on the best sales job in the jury.

"She's very good on her feet. She's a good talker, so it would be an 'either or,'" added Probst.
