Supermodel Naomi Campbell was a no-show for her Wednesday New York court hearing for allegedly slinging her cell phone at her maid in March.

Manhattan Criminal Court Judge James Gibbons issued a bench warrant for Campbell's arrest, then withdrew it after her attorney, David Breitbart, said prosecutors knew she would not be in court and agreed not to seek her arrest, E! Online reported.
"I want to make it clear that she is absolutely obliged to appear at the next hearing," Gibbons said. "If she fails to appear on that court date, the warrant will go into effect."
Breitbart also said a plea deal was in the works with the Manhattan District Attorney's office, but he did not divulge any of the details. Campbell's next court date was set for Nov. 15.
Campbell was charged with second-degree assault for allegedly accusing her housekeeper, Ana Scolavino, of stealing her pants then hurling her cell phone at the woman's head.
Scolavino said the phone left a gash in the back of her head that required four stitches.
Several other members of Campbell's staff have leveled abuse charges against her and in 2000 she pleaded guilty to smacking her personal assistant twice with a telephone, E! noted.
If convicted in this latest case, Campbell could be imprisoned for up to seven years and deported to her native Britain.
