The St. Paul (Minn.) Pioneer Press reported that Ryan Williams, a talent assistant for the show, judged about 40 pet tricks Saturday. Among them were a potbellied pig who can bowl, a hand-shaking cat and a border collie that fetches itself by grabbing its tail in its mouth and brings itself to its owner.
"Basically, we're looking for what we haven't seen before," said Williams. "Good pet tricks are hard to come by. We like to see as much creativity as possible."
Also auditioning at the Mall of America were contestants for the show's stupid human tricks segment.
