Bruce Akbaran, 48, who said he purchased the "toy" about five months ago at an Oklahoma City Public Schools auction and has not yet attempted to fly it, said the vehicle was taken from his business, Stone and Stucco, between when he left at 9:30 p.m. Monday and when he arrived for work at 5 a.m. Tuesday, The Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, reported Wednesday.
Police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said the chopper was found at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the driveway of an abandoned property on Wilshire Boulevard. Investigators said the helicopter had apparently been moved with a trailer, but there was no trailer when it was found.
Wardlow said Akbaran is working on getting a trailer to recover the helicopter.
No arrests have been made in the case.
