Stockard Channing pleads no contest to driving under the influence

Emmy Award-winner Stockard Channing has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor driving under the influence in Los Angeles.

The first lady of the NBC drama series "The West Wing" did not appear in court Thursday and her attorney entered the plea stemming from a December arrest, E! Online reported Friday.

Channing, 60, was sentenced to 36 months summary probation and fined $390.

She is currently starring with Henry Winkler on the new CBS sitcom "Out of Practice."
