Sting to play University of Illinois show

British rocker Sting will perform April 17 at Champagne's University of Illinois Assembly Hall, the Champagne News-Gazette reported Monday.

Tickets for the show, which will also feature opening act Phantom Planet, go on sale Saturday for $46. A presale for college students will be on Tuesday through Friday at the Assembly Hall box office. Student tickets are $36.

The show, part of the "Broken Music Tour," features Sting on bass; longtime band mate Dominic Miller on guitar; Shane Fontayne (Lone Justice, Bruce Springsteen) on guitar; and Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle) on drums.

The "Broken Music Tour" is presented by Clear Channel Touring and produced by RZO Entertainment Inc.
