The state of New Jersey has tagged the so-called "drunk bus," which ferries tipsy bar patrons home, for being a little wobbly itself.

The pink converted school bus is owned by Nardi's Tavern in the Haven Beach section of Long Beach Township. The bar uses the bus to provide free transportation to patrons who have been drinking so they do not have to drive impaired, owner John Brennan told The Press.
A Motor Vehicle Commission inspection this month found several violations that brought Brennan's bus operation to a halt.
"We put it out of service for a number of things: bad brakes, the front shocks were inoperable, bad tires, an exhaust leak and the interior lights were inoperative," MVC spokesman Kevin Cranston said.
Brennan disputes that, saying he was told it needed an exhaust pipe and two front tires, the Atlantic City newspaper reported.
The bus won't be rolling again until the repairs are made, MVC notified and the vehicle re-inspected, Brennan said.
