Star wasn't to be outdone in the romance rumor race. The magazine ran its own photos of the tandem lovingly gazing at each other. But the images, which grace the cover and appear on page 46, are actually cut-and-paste jobs from earlier, separate photos, E!Online said Friday.
Star admits the ruse on page 46.
The original snaps of the twosome appeared in London's Sun. Us acquired the U.S. rights, paying between $500,000 and $1 million, per reports. The pictures have also been widely circulated online.
