A newlywed couple complained after the Snohomish, Wash., venue they paid to use for the nuptials booked a soccer tournament for the same day.

The fields were cleared of soccer players, spectators and some of the goal posts during the ceremony, but that did not prevent all noise and scenery interference during the Saturday wedding of Jim Lambro and Rachelle Stinde at Lord Hill Farms, The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reported Monday.
The company, which booked the soccer event after the nuptials had been planned, offered discounts to the wedding party, including a $1,700 credit, but the groom said money wasn't the problem.
"We want what they promised us, and they're not delivering," Lambro said. "Who in their right mind would think this is OK?"
Lord Hill Farms owner David Remlinger accepted blame for the incident, saying corporate events are often scheduled for the same day as weddings, but usually end before the ceremonies.
