David Cornthwaite took 2 1/2 weeks to get through the desert-like Nullabor and was looking to set a world record by completing his 6,000 kilometers (3,700 miles) journey in Brisbane, early in January 2007.
Cornthwaite told the Australian Broadcasting Corp. he also hoped his epic trip would raise AUD 100,000 ($75,049) for charity.
"It's quite a nice feeling actually, self-propelling yourself across the country," he said. "I know it's not for everybody, but I'm certainly getting a lot out of it."
