Los Angeles Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said Wednesday screenwriter Simon Monjack died of acute pneumonia and severe anemia in May.
In addition to the pneumonia and anemia, Murphy, 32, also suffered from multiple drug intoxication. Monjack did not, however, E! said.
