An Iowa man said he was able to reunite with his sister 60 years after the siblings were separated thanks to an iPad-wielding 7-year-old.
Clifford Boyson of Davenport said he has tried for years to discover if any of his four siblings, from whom he was separated as children in Chicago when they went to different foster homes, were still living, but he was not able to find evidence of them until his landlord's 7-year-old son, Eddie, was able to find his last remaining sibling, Betty, on Facebook, WHO-TV, Des Moines, Iowa, reported Monday.
Clifford and Betty, who lives in St. Louis, were reunited recently in Davenport.
"My heart was going 60 miles per hour. I never thought it would come true," Clifford said.
Betty said seeing her brother brought back memories.
"He reminded me a lot of my brother Bob who I knew and he's deceased and it was like seeing him again," she said.
The siblings said they have set up a bank account to help Eddie pay for college as thanks for helping them reunite.
"Don't give up hope if you're looking for someone because you'll never know what 7 year old can do for you," Clifford said.
